    apologies for the delay in responding!
    You and me both! I attended a trade school but would have loved to had exposure to a richer knowledge resource than just being part of an unofficial 'AV club' - I ran the film projectors for underclassmen events simply because I wanted to get my hands on the gear.
    Today there are a plethora of certified online training course and DIY groups who count amongst them professional installers and programmers.
